Uitwaaien 2017 was an eye opening experience for my wife-to-be and myself to be able to engage ourselves with the outdoor community without having to lose our life savings over training and experiences that in many other situations would have cost much more. Uitwaaien is affordable because of the business model of bringing the best in the region together to teach classes and give you a taste of knowledge in their areas of expertise. I can say that from first hand experience that I have left this event a better outdoorsman, along with the friendships I have made to push me to my next level of being woods-worthy. Whether you stay for the classes, or the community, you will not be disappointed with what you find.-Dustin and Katie P.
Uitwaaien 2017 far exceeded my expectations. The classes were really informative and the instructors very knowledgeable. The gathering was filled with activities and vendors, I never ran out of things to do. Best of all was the people, everyone there was friendly and kind. I made friends with quite a few of them, friendships that I hope to last a lifetime. I look forward to making Uitwaaien a yearly retreat and hope to see you there.-Brian G.
Can’t say enough about this event. Met some great people and brushed up on some skills and learned a lot as well. The staff were phenomenal, great attitudes all the way around. I liked how it was family friendly, looking forward to this years event, going to bring my son this time, way to go Art Dawes, the vendors and staff!-Greg C.
I've never had so much fun learning outdoor skills. Instructors were not only quite knowledgeable, but the were down right entertaining as well. I look forward to many more in the coming years.-George S.
Whether you are an experienced outdoorsman or a complete novice in the woods. Their is something for everyone, and every age at Uitwaaien. The training team really knew there stuff. Learning new skills and practicing old ones. I had fun in a low pressure educational environment. The variety of attendees added to the flavor this environment. And no one felt out of place. I would recommend this event for a fun filled weekend for the whole family.-Marc L.

One of the great things about this community is that everyone is ready and willing to help out when needed! The Uitwaaien Bushcraft Gathering is no different; it wouldn't be possible without the help of volunteers. If you're looking to help out over the weekend, send us an email, and we'll see what help we still need. We currently have all the volunteers we need, but feel free to send an email still. If we end up needing some more help, we'll get a hold of you.
